Robert “Todd” Bridges brings over 27 years of distinguished leadership in engineering, multi-domain operations, space control, operational testing, and nuclear command and control to Metis. As Vice President of Business Development, he leverages his extensive experience to drive innovative solutions that enhance national security and support our clients in defense and aerospace sectors.
A retired U.S. Air Force officer, Todd commanded the 17th Test Squadron at Schriever AFB, overseeing operational testing for $1B in Air Force space systems across six locations with a $5M budget. He played a pivotal role in establishing the USAF’s Multi-Domain Command and Control architecture, now integrated into JADC2 and ABMS, and led the first remote deployment of space control systems. At the NSA, he served as Senior Director for National/Nuclear Command Capabilities, advising on nuclear C3 operations and authoring the office’s Strategic Plan. His ICBM expertise includes operator, instructor, and evaluator roles, and made contributions to Minuteman III upgrades and next-generation systems.
In business development, Todd has built and managed multi-billion-dollar pipelines. This has led to wins on high-profile initiatives while maintaining win rates exceeding 30% for new business.
Todd holds an MBA from American Sentinel University, a Master’s in Military Operational Arts and Sciences from Air University, an MS in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University. He completed executive training at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and NNSA/DOE Nuclear Weapons Design. He is a lifetime member of the Association of Air Force Missileers, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Space Force Association, and is a recipient of the Rotary Club National Space Achievement Award.
